The gospel group Rapture 7 was formed for the purpose of performing at a musical food drive in their community of Carbondale, Illinois. The response was so great after their first performance that they were asked to sing at other church functions. Since that time, Rapture's musical ministry has grown. They have traveled to many states touching the hearts of people, regardless of religious affiliation, with their own unique style of traditional - yet contemporary – gospel music. Rapture 7 was a second place finisher in the Illinois quartet convention competition. Rapture 7 was recognized as best group by the Illinois state association. Entering the top in sound national group competition in Anderson, Indiana. Rapture 7 was awarded first place and received a record deal with Pinbrook recording studio. From this blessing, rapture 7 was able to do its first recording entitled introducing rapture. Rapture 7 recently its second release entitled all power. With membership in the chicago association of music and songwriters {cams}, they were inspired to the cam's contest for songwr1ters and currently share second place with other groups. As a result of this achievement, a single entitled “things of this world”, will be released on CDs through this association. Rapture 7’s music bridges the gap between contemporary gospel and secular music. Their style is unique with emphasis on live performances where their talents and skills are seen as well as heard. A force to be reckoned with, rapture 7 will no doubt impact spiritually audiences for many years. Rapture 7 was recently discovered and signed by parliament entertainment records, Mr. Ben Weisman who, after hearing the past projects of rapture 7 totally agrees with everyone else that says “ rapture 7 will no doubt impact spiritually audiences for many years. ”
rapture 7’s new CD will be released the 1st quarter of 2008. Realizing that god has a mission for rapture 7, we are determined to spread his work through our musical ministry. May god bless and keep you,
