Album Notes

David was born and raised in Hampden, ME. The one constant that has weaved itself through those years of his life and to this day is music. Whether with family or friends his desire to listen to good music and make music has remained steadfast.

David’s passion for making music was instilled at an early age by his father. It was David’s father who kept their house full of the sounds of Johnny Cash, Kris Kristofferson, Glen Campbell, Earl Scruggs, Doc Watson, Conway Twitty,Tammy Wynette, Roger Miller and a host of other musical talents of that era. It was this story telling, country tinged music style that has shaped the direction of David’s singing and songwriting today. Noticable in his songs are other influences such as Neil Young, Cat Stevens, Dan Fogelberg, Jackson Browne and James Taylor.

Over the years of performing in New England the mix of playing cover songs and original tunes has always proven a successful formula for David. His musical focus in recent years has turned to writing and singing his own music. A result of this focus is his CD ’35 Below’.
