Album Notes

The Martin Luther King Jr. Community Choir of San Diego - a traditional gospel choir singing songs with spiritual meaning and heart filled sound. We characterize our creativity with dominant vocals (often with strong use of harmony) referencing lyrics of religious Gold. Together we are strong and our faith within is expressed through all our songs as we praise and worship giving God the glory!

Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. envisioned all races singing the Negro Spiritual together. We are living that dream, with volunteer members from all walks of life all over San Diego. Our CD is a collection of original songs contributed by local composers and performed by the Choir at concerts throughout San Diego and even internationally. Favorites include Rejoice and be Glad, It's a Mighty Good Day, and The Lord Will Take Care of You. When you hear the music, you too will want to clap your hands!
