clear female vocals, direct, honest
author: Allison JosephThis album reminds me of Janis Ian, Carly Simon, Carole King--the brand of female singer-songwriter we had in the 70's--vocal prowess, not Mariah-like screeching, meaningful storytelling in the lyrics. Good Job!

rocking, introspective, emotional, heartfelt, great voice and songwriting
author: Walton WalkerThe songs can be rocking, upbeat, moody, introspective and even funny, but they are always emotional and heartfelt. Lisa's voice is amazing. Her songwriting is evocotive of Carole King, Joni Mitchell, Sarah McLaughlin and Jill Sobule. Yet, she also rocks with tight arrangements and great musicians. My favorites are I Don't Think and Lost.
