In March of 1982 in downtown Manhatten at the 'Underground Theatre' in the Village, Ernest Kohl, only 16 years of age, stepped onto the stage accompanied by an extremely talented cast to present to the world the soon to be SMASH MUSICAL THEATRE HIT: "AVANTGARDE" The show was so popular and played to so many sold out crowds that it was moved Uptown to the famous Broadway F-Sharp Theatre where it also had a fantastic run! Unfortunately, it was closed down due to new rules imposed by the Actors Equity Union which shut down several well known Broadway shows at the time. Closed down but not forgotten, AVANTGARDE has been pulled out of the vault by popular demand! The original cast recording has now been released and the video you are about to watch contains some NEW and very exciting HOT DANCE REMIXES for "AVANTGARDE" and "SAND FLEAS"! Watch for this show ... there may very well be a revival of this much loved and lauded theatrical musical masterpiece!
