Presenting “Madame T” By Denise Labrie “Madame T” (a.k.a. Tiffany Jackson) was born in Woodville, Texas on August 13, 1975 and spent her younger years growing up in the Houston, Texas area. From an early age, she had a love for Zydeco music and was frequently teased at school for listening to the tunes of Beau Joque, Zydeco Force, Keith Frank, Boozoo Chavis, John Delafose, and Rockin’ Sidney on her cassette tape recorder. Every Saturday morning she would listen to Don Sam on KCOH (before “Two-Steppin’ Tuesdays”) blues and zydeco show, record it, and dance all week long. Even though Madame T used to also rap, write lyrics, and dance to other popular genres of music, her love for zydeco, originally called La La music, was never far from her heart.
