Sylver Logan Sharp: Real Brothers (feat. Rare Essence) (2011)
By being apart of the "music fabric" of Washington DC, it has been years since the very first time Sylver Logan Sharp (formerly of super group, CHIC) was singing on a Go-Go recording, i.e.. Pump Blenders & CJ's Uptown Crew were her first.
Producer/musician, Roy Battle (of Rare Essence) had a brilliant idea for us to do collaboration and REAL BROTHERS was born.
“Getting the opportunity to work with one of the legendary Go-Go bands and creating a song that was a great positive party song with the DC Go-Go groove that gave our brothers props was all I needed to be down!” Says Sylver. This is the very power of being an independent artist; this record was written, produced and released by “home grown” talent. Rare Essence has been one of the top premier Go- Go bands for over 30 years and going for the next 30 years! NOW, lets take it global!
