    Tol-Puddle Martyrs
    A Celebrated Man
Authentic Sixties, Garage/Pop/Rock. Quirky, melodic and hard edged songs that tell a story, make a statement and take you to another place. Songs filled with meaningful, reflective lyrics, catchy riffs and uplifting melodies.
The Tol-Puddle Martyrs have produced some of the rarest, most sought after recordings from the first chapter of Australian Garage Rock, with their early 45's selling for hundreds of dollars each time one appears on eBay. Their 1967 single "Time Will Come" found its way on to Neil Young's "Songs In Time Of War", reaching as high as Number 8 in popularity. Time Will Come and Claudette Jones (1966) have both been recognised and honoured by Australian Rock Musicologists for the role they played in the development of Australian Rock Music. Not bad for songs that at the time of their release, didn't receive much attention outside of Central and Northern Victoria, Australia. The Tol-Puddle Martyrs have remained true to their original influences, the British Sounds of the Mid Sixties, with this their latest album, "A Celebrated Man". A collection of 12 new Sixties songs that embrace the period and will truly take you back in time to those heady days. So spend a little time with the Martyrs and let them take you on a trip back to the Sixties, you won't be disappointed.
