    Cynthia Dale
    Enchanted
A sparkling tribute to Rodgers & Hammerstein. Features songs from "South Pacific", "The Sound Of Music", "Carousel" and "The King & I". Well loved show tunes performed by the Straford Festival's first lady of song.
Canada’s first lady of theatre has just released a new CD entitled Enchanted, celebrating the wonderful music of Rodgers and Hammerstein II. With music direction by Rick Fox and Laura Burton, the album is a collection of popular Rodgers and Hammerstein songs including "Some Enchanted Evening." which inspired the title of the CD. Other selections from South Pacific include "A Cockeyed Optimist", "A Wonderful Guy" and the romantic classic "This Nearly Was Mine." Enchanted also features songs from The King and I, Carousel and The Sound of Music, where Stratford Festival audiences will remember Cynthia as Maria von Trapp in the Festival's 2001 production. Cynthia Dale is one of Canada's most-respected and sought after performers. She is a ‘triple sensation’ in her own right, having proven her talents as an award winning actor, a singer, and a dancer on stage and on screen. She has worked extensively in theatre from New York to Stratford, and on screen in countless film and television appearances including her break out role on CBC’s ‘Street Legal’. With three albums of well loved show tunes under her belt, she can now add recording artist to her list of growing talents. In 2008 Cynthia was asked to return to her role as judge of up and coming stars on the ground-breaking performing arts reality television series ‘Triple Sensation’, back for an entertaining second season on CBC. There’s no telling what she will do next…so stay tuned for more from Cynthia Dale. “The lady’s got pipes and uses them well.” – Toronto Star “Cynthia Dale sings like an angel.” – Ottawa Citizen “Technical beauty and fierce emotion” London Free Press "You can count on her to deliver the romanticism of her songs with a touching beauty and clarity." - Globe and Mail
