    The Alphabet
    Scarlet Starlet
Bubbly, morbid, nerdy, cheery, self-loathing indie pop
Once, things were different. There is really no reason to be alarmed. This band has had the good luck of getting its grubby little fingers on many an instrument. Organs, the giant bass, laundry baskets—Columbus, Ohio is full of instruments. Under the name Pretty Balanced, the band variously stuck its many feet in the puddles of “piano chamber rock,” whatever that is; “punk cabaret,” seriously whatever that is; and other made-up genres. With the release of Scarlet Starlet, The Alphabet gazes, with shining faces, towards a future in which music is actually worthwhile. Peace y'all. P.S. The physical CD is an extremely limited handmade run of 50 copies. That is why they are so aspensive.
