    Insight
    A Genesis
A new way of experiencing Latin Jazz.
Keeping Latin jazz alive with a fresh and new perspective, Zaccai and Luques Curtis continue to forge ahead with original compositions and arrangements of the jazz and Latin idioms. Insight and Rhythmic Prophecies, co-led by these dynamic brothers, \"exhibit one of the most exciting sounds on the scenes today,\" as recently proclaimed by Russ Musto in All About Jazz. This unparalleled group of musicians has been performing together for over 10 years, opening for legends like Celia Cruz at the Havana Jazz Festival. The music speaks for itself and never lacks depth and emotion while still staying true to its roots--just listen to their arrangement of the traditional Panamanian Murga. Or, for an inventive spin on AfroCaribbean rhythms, check out Hilton\'s Rumba, which has been on Puerto Rico\'s top 20 list. ** Individually, the members of Insight are or have been side men for some of the greatest musicians alive: Herbie Hancock, Eddie Palmieri, Jimmy Greene, David Valentin, Papo Vasquez, Ralph Peterson, Brian Lynch, Chick Correa, Jerry Gonzalez, Gary Burton, Donald Harrison and pop stars Lauryn Hill and Ryan Leslie. As a group, Insight has traveled and performed at festivals and venues all over the United States. From California to New York and abroad, their fan base continues to grow. Their commitment to the art has helped them to gain recognition and support by some of the most important performing artists on the jazz and Latin Jazz scene today. Insight has performed with some of the world\'s greatest living artists, such as Wynton Marsalis, Danilo Perez, Andy Gonzalez, David Valentin, Tito Puente, Nelson Gonzalez, Jimmy Greene, John Patittucci, Steve Davis, David Sanchez and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra. This growing list list of artists is reflective of their musical accomplishments and experience. Performing regularly in the New York and East Coast jazz scene, the Curtis Brothers are on a mission to create music that not only moves your soul but awakens the sense of awareness to what surrounds us politically and socially. They are on a mission to entertain and inspire listeners to think outside the box, not only about Latin jazz but about the change that is everywhere. Their social awareness and desire to create sounds from their souls only makes a listener more engaged, informed, and primed for discovery. These two young brothers are the future of Latin jazz.
