Joshua’s debut album, The Trick With Your Heart I'm Learning To Do, was produced by David Baxter and features guest appearances by Serena Ryder, Justin Rutledge, Jack Marks, Greg Cockerill, John Dinsmore, Shawn Creamer, and Dustin Bentall as well as Joshua’s long-time band David Baxter (guitar), Burke Carroll (pedal steel), Devon Henderson (bass), and Joshua Van Tassel (drums).
Piecing together every dollar he could, Joshua came up with enough money to record his debut album and if you ask him, it couldn’t have come soon enough; "I've known I wanted to be a musician since I was ten years old," he says, "Everything I saved up over the years has been preparing for the making of this album."
