    You And The Digital Age
In the spirit of bands like Weezer and those before them, Rochester's Pheromones don't forsake rock's punch and crunch in order to squeeze out a melody. Lots of bands teeter-totter between the cranial and the Cro-Magnon as if it were a sort of either/or situation, varying from song to song. But Pheromones possesses the balance and the chops within the sharp and catchy cuts on its new EP, "You And The Digital Age." Now you don't have to wait or choose. - Frank De Blase (City Newspaper) September 5th, 2009

    One Day at a Time
    "Space Rock for Dreamers"
Glider sounds like: A whisper and then an explosion...... and then a whisper again. A mad dash and a jump. A feeling of falling. Catching the wind and gliding over the waves that wash away everything you left behind. You're in a new world now. ___ Glider formed in 2003 after a long musical journey by core members Brian Evans and Rory Carruthers. Having played together in various bands over the last 5 years the two decided to collaborate again with a new project. Writing their self-titled EP in Brian's bedroom on a digital eight track laid the foundation and drive to continue as a band and find other members who could help bring their vision into fruition. Two years, nine drummers, and ten tracks later the debut full length album One Day at a Time delves into the minds and hearts of listeners. The heavily delayed and densely reverberated soundscapes are melded with dissonant background noise and carefully crafted into an emotionally timeless experience. Throwing out all the rules, One Day at a Time delivers an array of sound with an underlying theme of beauty, fulfillment, and experiential emotion. Taking inspirations from life and loss, nature and beauty, noise and melody; Glider crafts together a set of emotionally mature audio excursions. It has been said that Glider makes music reminiscent of what it feels like in those moments when you wake up, and you still remember what you had been dreaming about. In these moments the memory is fuzzy and you feel like you're remembering something that at any moment could be lost, but for those few moments you can hang on to your dreams, and sometimes...just sometimes...the world takes on a whole new meaning. To fully understand you must experience. So when you wake up tomorrow, try and keep dreaming a little, and a little more the day after that, until you start to live your dreams....as we already do.
