    Vientos Del Pueblo
    Vientos Del Pueblo
Contemporary music from the Andes; a fusion of traditional Andean instruments, like the panflute, the charango and the violin, with other percussive Latin rhythms.
VIENTOS DEL PUEBLO (Winds of the People) is an Atlanta-based Andean music band started in 1996 by a group of Chilean musicians. The band has transformed over the years and it presently has six members: MAURICIO AMAYA (El Salvador), SIOBHAN BRENNAN (U.S.A.), FRANCISCO LUQUE (Mexico), CRISTIAN ZAMORA (Chile), L. R. ZAMORA (Chile), and JOHN ZORRILLA (Peru). Since its beginnings, VIENTOS DEL PUEBLO has played an active role in the Atlanta community, expanding the horizons and the appreciation of Andean music in particular and Latin music in general. Whether playing for a private party, a cultural event, an outdoor festival, a school function, or gratefully sharing famous stages like Spivey Hall (Clayton State College) or The Conant Arts Center (Oglethorpe University) with world reknown bands like SUKAY, VIENTOS DEL PUEBLO always leaves its audiences with an experience that is not only didactic and fun, but also full of beautiful and haunting music.
