In the ten years since we released our first CD, Peel the Banana, I have discovered an incredible variety of dances from all corners of the globe. Each culture has its own unique dances, but each culture’s dances also share common ground with cultures around the world. This CD has a sampling of dances from North America, Europe, Asia, Africa and Oceania – some are appropriate for pre-schoolers and older children; some are more appropriate for teens and adults, and many dances bridge the generations. All of these dances can be learned very quickly because they are dances of the folk!
