  • Trish is a real treasure!!
    author: Dorothy & Gail Shoup

We recently discovered PLYMOUTH BELVEDERE and love the humor of songs like "It's Just a Cookie" and the title song of this CD. But we are also very moved emotionally by Trish's sensitivity in a number of little masterpieces of songwriting, such as "How Do We Go On?" and "Your Special Gift." We think that her special gift (in addition to a lovely and very pleasing voice, plus nice guitar work) is the ability to surpass just being a super performer and allow us to hear a new friend, sharing from her heart!! P.S. Kudos also to the other musicians & singers on this exceptional CD.

  • You can listen over and over!
    author: Eileen Lizer

I listened to your CD non-stop yesterday and continued listening to it over and over again throughout the entire night. I was jazzed with so many ideas for you running through my head that I literally could not sleep. You filled me with joy, happiness and peace.

  • wry, insightful, with contemporary and traditional folk elements
author: Ann A.; co-host Camelback Readings

Trish's new CD deftly combines contemporary messages with lyrical melodies which harken back to traditional folk music of the fifties and sixties . Taking the Easy Way Out is a wry examination of a cultural attitude all too prevalent in America today.

  • Great CD!!

This is one very nice CD! All the songs are excellent in songwriting skill and packaged professionally. Highly recommended.

  • Zesty!
    author: Anet Carlin

Check out this zesty album. Trish Lester has a sharp sense of humor and a facile use of language. Along with the fun she shows us her warmth, tenderness and drama as well. Welcome to the folk scene, Trish.

  • Touching and humorous songs with universal messages!
    author: Sharon M.

What I love about the Trish's CD, "Plymouth Belvedere," is how each song touches universal experiences we often share. My favorite two songs are "It's Just a Cookie" and "Your Special Gift." The Cookie song reminds us not to take life so seriously. Your Special Gift was a way to turn a loss into a positive memory. In addition, the title song, Plymouth Belvedere, shows us that at some point we all will cut our parent's apron strings, drive forward and create our own songs!

  • Fabulous! A must buy for delightful listening!
    author: Tiffany

    Excellent! A true talent!

  • Outstanding storyteller put to music!
    author: Hannah

Each and every song tells a wonderful story, whether humorous or sad, like a grand novel weaving a tale. This is a wonderful pick-me-up CD where you find yourself humming and singing the songs long after your CD player has been turned off. Her music crosses age and style barriers. This CD makes a wonderful, memorable gift.

  • Reminds me of my childhood in the Berkshires
    author: Andie

The songs are a little bit granola, a little bit sweet white chocolate, and just enough tart in the lyrics to wrinkle your nose and make you smile. If you like the Roaches you'll love some of the songs on this CD. I bought it for a childhood friend and I can't wait to mail it to her.

  • Great to hear original music for a change.
    author: Dan

Trish Lester's music is a breath of fresh air. It's great to hear such original and well-produced songs that make you tap your foot and smile at the same time. Love the lyrics and guitar.

  • Trish Lester is a talented song writer with a captivating voice
    author: John Cooper

Plymouth Belvedere is a representative collection of Trish Lester's talent as a musician and song writer. The songs are upbeat and you can't help singing the songs to yourself throughout the day.

  • Trish Gets To The Heart Of The Matter
    author: Judi B

There's something for everyone here. Much of this CD is funny and heartbreaking at the same time. Nice as a music CD but many of the lyrics go plenty deep when given a serious listen. My favorites are It's Just A Cookie, Drifting, and Yosemite.

  • excellent, great variety, wonderful vioce, great lyrics
    author: Rosh Wright

I thought the various songs showed a great deal of range, the songs make one laugh, cry, think, and sing along! I have seen Trish perform live and think she is a great entertainer, one really wants to listen to the lyrics because they make sense and most of us can relate.

  • Send with Your Next Christmas Letter!
    author: Bill S

What fun! Trish's voice is sincere and soothing; her emotions are revealed in every phrase. The title cut has surprise switches that delight the listener. You'll laugh with every line of "The Christmas Letter." (Sorry, Trish, I'm planning to write one again this year--no doubt more fodder for your tunes.) And the next time some holier-than-thou food policeman cautions against my splurging, I'm amping up "It's Just a Cookie." Truly a delightful album well worth listening to again and again.

  • Chicken Soup for the Soul
    author: Stephen

I have heard Trish's music on the radio, and after seeing her live, bought the CD. Her music makes your heart smile, kind of like chicken soup for the soul. ...and may I say, Trish... you're quite a dish. ;)

  • I want to hear it again
    author: Joan

I'm always glad to hear a Trish Lester song. The songs are well crafted, and cover a surprising variety of emotions and events. I find myself singing "How Do We Go On". It's a very touching song, and the lines keep coming back to me. "I'm Drifting" is also a poignant and memorable song. This CD is a great first release. The songs sound like they've been around and feel familiar, even though they are just being sent out there to the world. The vocals are top notch, truly lovely. The arrangements are professional and wrap around the songs like a cozy blanket on a cold night. I'm happy to have this CD in my collection so I can hear it again!

  • Musical Stories are Delightful!
    author: Diana

I bought this CD after hearing the artist perform in a San Diego coffee house. Loved the thought-provoking and clever lyrics along with with the sweet voice to accompany them. The Christmas Letter is a favorite and makes me laugh any time of the year! Each song is its own little story....making this CD a highly 'readable' anthology!

  • Touches my emotions
    author: Margie Evans

I've played the CD several times and it always makes me smile, laugh and shed a tear or two. The tear comes from "Thank a Soldier", it's beautiful. I like all of the songs, but must thank you for taking the guilt out of eating a cookie. I might go eat one right now. I'm looking forward to your next CD. It's a winner and a keeper!!

    author: Evan

My twelve year-old-daughter has been singing Britney and Lindsay and now this Miley person...then she discovered Trish! Thank God for Trish's songs about cookies and soldiers that I can totally appreciate & enjoy while my daughter sings, and wants to emulate, a singer that can not only sing but is capable of writing her own VERY original music! What an inspiration! My whole family loves this cd!

  • Excellent CD Really liked "Thank A Soldier"
    author: Terry Dunne

All of the songs on the CD are excellent. I hope I have an opportunity to attend one of your concerts.

  • I've got to smile!
    author: Kathie Kallestad

I really enjoy this CD. My favorite songs are Special Gift and Lookin For An Easy Way Out. I find that when I'm listening to this CD, I've just got to smile! You feel like and old friend has parked herself in your home and started singing to you. I love folk and country music, so this is just up my alley.

  • What variety! What talent!
author: Larry -- a fan from Santa Clarita

I heard you briefly last Saturday (7/28) on the radio. Went to your Website and scrolled down through the songs – picked “Smith & Wesson 38,” as the title intrigued me. I ordered your CD after hearing that one song. I listened to them all today and read the lyrics--WOW! What a variety and so excellent. What a talent. One line really stood out in my mind, "The man in my bed ain't the one in my head" in the song “Waitin’ For an Easy Way Out.” Now that was really GOOD. I laughed out loud. One of the deep ones you wrote, "The Words Keep Coming Through" is another I have to point out as remarkable. I’m going to e-mail my younger sister to listen to your music, especially the humorous ones like "It's Just a Cookie" and "Waitin’ For an Easy Way Out." All your songs will impress her, I’m sure.
