Beautiful Scars
author: Joey Finger - Pro ReviewerIt takes great courage to set out to make something like a "Scar" beautiful. You have definitely succeeded with this piece. What a masterpiece of song writing. Absolutely beautiful in every respect. It takes an incredibly open poetic mind to make this kind of song come to life and to put all the pieces so carefully in the proper order. Lyrically you immediately had me with a very visual and descriptive choice of words set in this phrasing with the power of a lullaby. The singer meant every word and sold the entire idea with a warmth that puts the listener in a powerless position with their only option being to believe. The instrumentation choices were flawless. Very musical choices were made and played. Each musician is a credit to the craft and played the song as a part of a collective to make this image come clear. This song is destined to be a strong favorite of any musical mind it touches and has the potential of being extremely successful in the Country/Christian radio market. Very well done.
Beautiful Scars
author: Janet Fisher - Pro ReviewerWow. This song is not flawless, but has moved me more than many songs I've heard over the past few months. It has a very sophisticated rhyme scheme, that one might miss unless one really pays attention. This writer has chosen to set up her rhymes on the first and third line of the verses, rather than the more traditional second and fourth lines. She also chooses inner rhymes for her fourth lines in her verses, and although I would have never believed I would have gone for it, I did! The topic of the song is incredibly sensitive. It could have become saccharin and trite very easily; but it didn't. She not only captures the situation in the lyric, but embroideries it even further with her sensitive melody. The emotional tying in of the experiences of the girl who was burned and scarred to Christ, portrayed as beaten and scarred, and the relating of her wounds to his is profound and totally original. I admire your courage in making that leap. Not many songs work, that make a comparison to a normal human and Christ; this one did for me. I loved the singer and can't imagine anyone doing a better job. I cannot tell you how much I appreciated getting to review this particular song. Thank you.
One Step Closer
author: MargaretThe CD One Step Closer really touched my heart. My granddaughter Karlie who will be 4-years old in January was diagnosed with CF when she was 2 1/2 years old. I know in my heart with such great support from these wonderful artist who donate their efforts to CF a CURE will be found.
Beautiful Scars
author: Steven FurrMy God.... what a nice song. Angelic vocal. Great recording. Very pro sound. Dreadfully sad lyric. Don't tell anyone but I cried as I listened. This is a good sign that the writer and the talent is conveying emotion, both in the words that are being sung, and in the performer delivering emotion to the listener. Or.... maybe I am just a big cry-baby. Best wishes, and best of luck! Did I mention Angelic vocal? Beautiful.
Outstanding...Again!
author: Wayne CrossI have a daughter, 22, and a nephew, 10, that both have CF. For that reason I am extremely grateful to the artists and producers that have once again put together an outstanding CD to help us raise money for a cure. It has some terrific songs on it and the production quality really surprises me for a CD done for charity. I think all people will enjoy the music and can feel good about purchasing the CD for the cause it supports.
Really enjoyed it!

I didn't really expect this CD to be "all that" but found it to be really good. The words and music were easy to listen to and the sound quality was very professional. My thanks to everyone involved in making it and helping those of us with CF in our lives.
