notes
"Anatomy of a Relationship" is filled with joyful, sultry and haunting music exploring many facets of human relationships. It is an emotional, inspiring ride filled with soulful, passionate singing.
First, get empowered with the song “I will not Compromise." Women have been known to sing “I will not Compromise” in the car while going out on dates, as a reminder not to compromise getting what they want in a relationship (while still laughing at themselves.)
Then you are transported into an imaginary world where the fairy tales have vulnerable, spunky characters and wild endings.
Cinderella meets Cinderella in "I really, really Want to Kiss You " and a young homeless girl named Sarah stumbles into a life altering twist after meeting "a lady in a black suit" in "I've got Sarah on my Mind."
Interwoven in are love songs about heartfelt commitment and having the courage to take a romantic risk.
Anatomy of a Relationship is a mix of luscious and warm recording with up-tempo music you can groove to - mixed with tender bitter-sweet ballads. This CD travels through the entire body of a relationship (It seems to go best with dark chocolate and a glass of something sweet).
A FEW SWEET NOTES: Anafaith co-produced this CD with Daniel Shacht. Daniel also was the engineer for the CD at Schacht Studios in Oakland,CA. He is bass player of the up and coming Bay Area band the Bittersweets, of VIRT records. Daniel has also played bass for Jolie Holland and Forest Sun. Talented Jesse Dyen, who wrote the indy hit anti-war song "Sons and Daughters" plays keys and organ.

Listen to her song "I will not Compromise" and you will hear more than a great hook-you will an artist who does not compromise.

I have never listened to any CD with the same frequency as Anafaith's
author: Daybop "David"I don't think that I have listened to any CD/album as much as I have Anafaith's "Anatomy of a Relationship" since the Beatles' " The White Album"I do know that I absolutely have never listened to any one CD with the same intensity and frequency as I have Ana Faith's.I am drawn in by her muscianship ,vocals, and sharp; lush accompaniments. She is in awesomely talented company who support her and allow her to soar in her storytelling. And it's in that storytelling that I find myself sharing in the enegy of her pathos and the mystery of sensuality. I am amazed ( or maybe I shouldn't be ) when during any given day I can be reminded of her songs, hear her lyrics in my head, and hum those transformative melodies.
I am totally hooked on Anatomy of a Relationship!
author: Judy PasserEach song stands on its own merit. Original music with infectious tunes and lyrics that get beneath one's skin. A freshly brewed sound, like a cotillion for the senses. The listener is engaged with the soothing sensation of stroking a well loved pet.

Anafaith has a unique voice that permeates the heart.A voice that lifts you up like a wave, and carries you along its unpredictable grooves, supporting you, and landing you gracefully. There are vocal sounds reminding me of Dido, Sarah McLaughlin, even a little Tracy Chapman, but all rolled into a uniqueness of Anafaith's own personal style. Her expression comes across smoothly and beautifully, and with accents of cello, violin, piano, and guitar. This CD is arranged like a great show! The melodies vary nicely and greatly; they move you, they surprise, and they tantalize! The lyrics have a fun poetry to them. With songs like "I will not compromise", and those clever and catchy rhythms, Anafaith's distinctive sound - an instrument unto itself - caters a wildly enjoyable time. And "Ghost story", an absolutely killer-beautiful song, with remarkable instrumentation and voice. And others! The more I listen to this CD, the more I want to play it again! The songs continue to grow on me in all good ways.
OUTSTANDING!
author: SusieAnafaith's music and songwriting is exceptional...she captures the essence of characters and tells their story...sometimes it was my story, othertimes it was someone elses that I wanted to hear. Her music is varied - each song with its own unique tune and beat. Often, the songs stick in your head - I've found myself humming the chorus of the upbeat tunes wondering why I was in such a great mood! The slower soulful tunes are thought provoking...challenging you to listen, understand or interpret. I love this CD.
