King Lizzard

Despite a biography which tells King Lizzard as coming from Iapatus, a moon of Saturn, over four thousand years ago, King Lizzard was born and raised in Detroit, the city Rolling Stone magazine calls "the Liverpool of America, a gritty industrial city producing hard, loud rock since the 60's."

King was the bassist/songwriter for LEGACY, signed by a major label, and has opened for Chuck Berry, Cheap Trick, Molly Hatchet and Heart, among others, in arenas and stadiums in the 80's. In the late nineties he headlined shows and festivals in the southwestern USA, including his own "LizzardFest" metal/punk/hip-hop festival.

In 1997 he left Los Angeles for Las Vegas, reuniting with his estranged father and pursuing professional music under the name of King Lizzard.

In the nineties he also released seven CDs in five years. Of those CDs one, "The Sin City Symphony," remains in print. From 2001-2011 he released three more CDs, "The Patient in Room 666," "...and friends," and "The Return of the Patient in Room 666."

In 1997-1999 he headed the techno band,LIVING KARMA.

From 1999-2002 his vision got darker and louder with the industrial metal KING LIZZARD'S HEARTS OF DARKNESS BAND.

From 2001 to 2004 he hosted radio shows "Inside Sin City" and "Sounds of Sin," which spotlighted Vegas talent and earned him the title of "Las Vegas' Godfather of Metal."

King Lizzard's albums "The Patient in Room 666" and "King Lizzard and friends" are available at iTunes, Napster, eMusic and AOLMusic.
