Mike Abrams is unique to gospel music because he offers such a variety of musical styles all in one program! From rock to bluegrass to a soft southern gospel ballad, you will never get bored listening to the songs Mike has to offer.
If you like to have a fun time but still get the gospel message in song, you will not be disappointed with Mikes music.
Mike has performed for an audience of one to over 50,000 and is comfortable with either. His fun-energetic stage presence is contagious and you can see his heart and passion for the Lord in every song.
When writing his first songs for his very first CD, Mike had never heard Country Gospel. So with his first CD he wrote songs that sounded like country music but all with a gospel message. The CD was a success with radio airplay and one song "It don't matter" reaching number one in several areas. Two years later Mike was back in the studio recording his second project "One of many branches". The title song was actually written as a prayer which Mike turned into what some say is one of his best songs he has ever written. "Jesus is my denomination" also received radio airplay nationwide and Mike wrote this in about 10 minutes after having a conversation with a man that turned sour after Mike told him his denomination. This second CD is full of variety. Mike grew up playing drums in a local band that had members who were 20 years older than him which gave him a love for many different musical styles, so it only makes sense to him to add that variety into his CD's.
His 3rd CD is more variety of course but sticking mostly with country overtones mixed with some bluegrass, some rock and some soft ballads from Mike's heart. Mike always seeks wise council before heading to the recording studio about his lyrics because he never wants to add to or take away anything from scripture. Mike say's "His words are sharper than any two-edged sword, not mine".
So if you'd like to have a fun, up-beat time and hear a variety of gospel music styles, Mike's music would be a great addition to your listening choices .
