GUTSY - EMOTIONAL - UNDENIABLE
An unforgettable, powerful voice. An engaging, magnetic performer. An emotional lyricist. An unforgettable personality. Robin DeLorenzo is the whole package.
Robin DeLorenzo, an ASCAP singer songwriter, has been singing, performing and writing her entire life. As early as 4 years old, she was performing at family events and commanding the attentions of everyone in the room. Throughout her early educational years and throughout highschool, she was involved in chorus and special chorus and she played the piano, guitar and violin in the orchestra. She was often highlighted as a vocal soloist and led the students in the musical numbers in many of their concerts as a student pianist.
She attended Adelphi University in Garden City, NY and doubled majored with both Communications and Technical Theater Degrees. During her college years she trained with a number of vocal coaches and worked on perfecting her talents. Throughout her musical career, she has been involved with many musical groups ranging from 70’s and 80’s cover bands, wedding bands, corporate bands and original projects, including a three girl dance group that was managed by the same team that managed Color Me Badd. Much of her stage experience was gained through many gigs in the Long Island Music Scene.
After college, she went on to a corporate job with AT&T and worked as a Marketing Manager and Event Planner. It was during these years that she focused on her business skills, which have proven to be invaluable for her career today. After a corporate split to Lucent Technologies, she formed a company sponsored band, Robin and the Vectors, that spent 5 years recording three CD’s with over 35 parodies and filming five musical videos. This material was used globally to support the sales force and customers. In support of the CD’s and Videos, she traveled the country and performed at more than 50 events in over 30 cities to audiences that ranged in numbers from 25 to 5,000.
Songwriting is something that has always been her passion. During her travel with the corporate band, she realized that she needed to pursue her passion and wrote her Freshman CD, Just a Piece of Me. She recorded a song for IMG Publishing that was written by Jeff Steele, Ain’t No Bed of Roases and took herself and her CD to Nashville to pursue her true love of singing and performing Although she did not land the record contract that has always been dreamed about, she worked on perfecting her stage presence and writing skills and again gained additional experience that today have proven to be invaluable.
Most recently she was introduced to Producer Lisa Ratner of EastWest Music Inc/Fastrax Studios in South Salem, NY. This partnership has taken her music to new heights. Robin brought Lisa her lyrics and melodies and Lisa built the music around it and they created her latest nine song CD, Wanna Fly. Through her experiences in life, she has grown to be a song writer that touches the listener and has delivered a solid CD. Once again, she is ready to hit the road and do what is needed to get her songs heard.
Music is the only language that the world speaks and she wants the world to speak hers!
