Trapper Robbins

Biography

Reviewers have described Trapper’s music as:
"Tense But Pretty"
“Tragically Bold”
“Lyrically Unstuck”
“Overly Cumbered”
“Unjustifiably Confident”

Trapper is an experienced and accomplished multi-instrumentalist who somehow manages to consistently craft freshly layered progressive rock songs that are both approachable and unpredictable. His music moves seamlessly across genres including elements of psychedelic rock, grunge, pop, jazz, and folk. And through it all, there is a thread of subtle ironic urgency that keeps the music alive and possibly even relevant.

In other realms, Trapper is a surprisingly accomplished outdoor wilderness and world traveler – long distance hiking, mountaineering, snowshoeing, sea kayaking, caving, etc. He has often spent weeks or months at a time on the trail.

Trapper splits his time between the sweet little metropolis of Seattle, the remote wilderness mountain community of Stehekin, and other random spots around the globe. He is frequently tolerated by his wife, ranger/artist/architect Roxanne Everett.
