This new release features some of Austin's top musicians backing Leigh's spirited, sensual and resounding vocal work. "Better Than Well" takes Leigh back to her roots offering more of a "Texas" sound than her other 7 CD's to date. It is a collection of Ginger Leigh originals, some new, some classics, as well as a cover of Rodney Crowell's "Come on Funny Feelin'" and Phoebe Snow's "Poetry Man." The title track, "Better Than Well," is a mid-tempo pop song that speaks to Ginger's drive of never letting herself fail.
Leigh has released 7 CD's prior to the new live CD, two of which were from The Ginger & Sarah Band which split ways in 2002. Since then, Ginger Leigh has powered forward, releasing two more studio albums and a live full band CD recorded at Momo's. Ginger is based in Austin, Texas with countless shows at the highest quality venues and festivals in the country. She also tours consistently around the US and Europe.
