Marc Barnhill

Biography

At the imaginary intersection of a Coney Island side street and a Carolina dirt road, Marc Barnhill writes songs that deal with longing, loneliness, and loss, but also with acceptance, courage, and renewal. A longtime regular on New York's acoustic live music scene, Marc has developed a reputation for insightful lyrics and soulful performances, producing a steady stream of fragile ruminations on relationships and tough examinations of personal responsibility. Marc performs his rootsy blend of traditional folk, urban Americana and literate singer-songwriter music both solo and with his band, The Sorely Missed.
