the Blurry Pickers

The Blurry Pickers are "misfits in bluegrass". Somewhere between where Jerry Garcia meets Bill Monroe - the Blurry Pickers are developing a sound that crosses borders but rests nowhere.

Using traditional bluegrass instruments and inspired by many of the old-timey sounds of days gone by, the band draws from their collective time in music and an eclectic array of influences to help form their sound.

Raised in the Hidden Hills of Southwestern ON, the Blurry Pickers are good friends who love to play music together. Lauded for their strong picking and songwriting, the band has an infectious group dynamic that will have you tappin' your hands and movin' your feet.

Anchored by journeyman Dan Walsh on dobro (Fred Eaglesmith and the Flathead Noodlers), the Blurry Pickers are - Blair Babcock (bass/vocals), Rusty Enns (guitar vocals), Tim Ewing (mandolin/vocals) and Ryan Morrison (banjo/vocals)

The Blurry Pickers debut album - "Songs of the Billyneck Redhills" is ready to go! The CD features all original material and a number of talented friends including Todd Gillies (Fat Cats), Mark and Trish Schnurr (Moonshiner's Daughter), Doug Burnside (Diesel Dog), Bill Moorehouse (the Clydesdales), Rosa Ernst (the Rosalines), Christy Muddle (Madgrass), Brad Bossence (Madgrass), Jeff English, Ken Morris, Bernie Blakely, Mark Tonin (Harvard Mouse) and Marsha Morrison.
