Aviad Cohen simply believes. He believes in the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. He believes that the Tanakh (Old Covenant) is the infallible Word of God. Since that is the case, it would mean believing in the accurately prophesied Messiah mentioned in the Tanakh. That Messiah would be Yeshua, or as many people around the world have come to know Him as, Jesus. To top it off, Aviad believes in the New Covenant God made with His people, as prophesied in Jeremiah 31:31 in the Tanakh (Old Covenant). Some call it the New Testament, but Aviad knows how to say New Covenant in Hebrew: Brit Chadasha. After all, that’s what you call it when you’re a True Jew. Now you know how to say it too.

Aviad was born in Tel Aviv, Israel on March 11, 1975, corresponding to the Jewish calendar date of Adar 28, 5735. Two years later, the Cohen family moved to Brooklyn, NY. Aviad grew up in the Yeshiva and Jewish private school systems of New York and New Jersey and later attended public high school and graduated with a B.A. in Communications from Hofstra University. During those years after school, while working in the entertainment industry in New York and Los Angeles, Aviad began to refine his talents and skills. He didn’t know it yet, but the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob was preparing him, to do a great work through him, in the least likeliest way.

In 2003, Aviad stepped onto the scene as 50 Shekel, the Heeb-Hop rapper with his classic parody remake of 50 Cent’s In Da Club song called In Da Shul, which received much acclaim. He was hailed as "The World's Most Kosher MC" (Q Magazine), gracing the pages of magazines like Maxim's Blender, Esquire, New York and Q. He was also covered in such newspapers as the New York Post, Wall Street Journal and Forward and featured on ESPN2, VH1, Israel’s YES! TV, Germany’s ARTE, and other national and international television programs.

In 2004, Aviad came to know Yeshua, the True Jew Messiah. “When I was 50 Shekel, I was a lost and wandering Jew. I was desperately seeking my Creator. Religion kept me in bondage. I wanted God instead. I cried out to Him and he heard my call. Like Domino’s Pizza: He delivers! In Yeshua’s case, He delivered to me the Truth, the Way and the Life. I embraced Him and hopped on the Salvation Super-highway and my life has never been the same since then. I was blind and now I can see. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob orchestrated some amazing situations in order to bring me closer to knowing Him in Truth. Yeshua visited me at my bedside for twenty minutes and we had a conversation. I could not see Him nor hear Him, but I could see and hear Him – if that makes any sense at all. It was unexplainable - yet I can’t deny it. He told me to make music for Him. I told Him that “they wouldn’t get it.” He said, “They will.” The rest is Messianic music history.

“Asking Yeshua into my life was the most important decision I have ever made in my entire life. I asked Him to forgive me for my sins and He wiped them away faster than you can say: Mop & Glo. Finally, I have a real relationship with the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, have a love for Him and His Word, am truly inscribed in The Book of Life and it's amazing to see how He works miracles in both my life and in the lives of others. It’s no longer about “religion” – it’s about a relationship with my Heavenly Father, through His only begotten Son, Yeshua. He “set this captive free” from man-made religion. I live for His glory and I’m here to share His love with the world and testify that He is in fact the King of kings and the Lord of lords.”

This album comes at a historic time when Yeshua is quickly revealing Himself to Jews, Arabs and the nations, and in turn they are embracing their Messiah and His Truth and are sharing the Good News of His Salvation throughout all four corners of the world.

    I do not enjoy Techno or Trance or whatever it is called, as a rule. In fact, I hate it. I have never listened to that style, except on the rare occasions it was forced upon me. However, I was struck by the title song when I heard it on a station at Live365, and eventually, I HAD to buy this album. Some of the songs are too much for me, because of the driving beat- but overall the skill is really great, and the love for Jesus is awesome. It also is such a welcome relief from the other Messianic Music I have heard. I haven't listened to it long, but already I am so sick of either pseudo-middle eastern wailing or 80's messianic love-fest type music, I could scream. If I hear "We are leaving Mother Russia" one more time, I swear.....But anyway, this album is fresh and its AWESOME.

    This CD is great. My family and I all love it. It stays in the CD player and has lifted our spirits as we listen to it while working to rebuild from Hurricane Katrina! Discouragement and depression was starting to set in as the enemy tried to bring doubts into our minds. But, then we found this CD. It was as if our faith and hope was restored. We actually started dancing and singing while we tried to hang sheetrock on the walls. Laughter has returned to my children! I was like, man there is something different about this music, it's something I've never heard before.     I ran across Aviad's music for the first time a few weeks ago and I loved his music. It is so different from any other praise and worship music I have listened to because Aviad's music is original and its the first time i have heard praise and worship music set to trance and techno style music. He is like the modern day King David.

Already played the CD at Glasgow City Mission(U.K.)- all I heard people saying was, YES, WAW. Praise Yah is a favourite of mine- and Aviad just magnifies YHWH's word, even if we struggle sometimes confessing the name. Shalom Aleichem

    Shalom Chaverim, This is a great CD. I have always loved "We Delight" and this version does it justice. I enoucrage everyone to get the CD. The only things I was a little bummed out about was the fact that he says "Jesus Christ" so much instead of His true name Yeshua (which he does point out often) and using the Name "Yahweh" when we do not know the correct pronunciation of the tetragrammaton. Over all it is still an awesome CD!

    Excellent First Effort! Can't Wait for the next release. Since the first day I got the CD it hasn't come out of my CD Player. I listen to it in my car everywhere I go and the songs stick in my head all day long. The songs are a mix of good spiritual message and Electronic/Dance music. It was said that King David danced out of his clothes, this stuff would definitely give him the music to make it happen. Keep the faith and continue the good work.

I put in your CD, and she loved it! She even read along with the words and enjoyed reading the radical biblical lyrics. She was a backslider, but she got so convicted after listening to your CD, by the time we got back to the hotel where we are staying, she confessed her sins and decided to re-dedicate her life back to Yeshua!
