notes
Larry Baskett's third album features him on trumpet, flugelhorn and vocals, backed by a superb small big band. While his warm trumpet tone and soft ballad voice resonate with many influences, his overall sound and concepttion are entirely his own.
The 9 original compositions featured here are organic and harmonically rich. The arrangements, by guitarist Randy Vincent, are fluid and imaginative compositions in their own right.

Great if you want to hear clean, swinging performance!
author: Phill ArandaIt was a real pleasure to discover two more Larry Baskett CDs - I already bought the CD "Poor Boy Blue" after hearing it on California 24x7 jazz station, KCSM. The orchestrations and arrangements of these groups (12 to 19 musicians) were clean, swinging and a real pleasure to listen to.
