notes
A singer and comedian, Bayne Gibby grew up in New Jersey, but swears she has never had big hair or a fondness for malls.
She spent her youth singing along to the soundtrack to the musical "Annie" much to the dismay of neighbors who were sick of hearing about the "hard knock life" from a block away.
As a teenager, Bayne became obsessed with the beautiful and sad songs of Joni Mitchell and was inspired to pen her first song which began: "I was walkin' down the road/ a voice called out to me/ I thought "Who in the hell can that possibly be?".
Bayne's funny and unapologetic songs will have you humming along to "Hot Guy With Tourettes", "Erectionland", and "Tea With My Stalker" in no time.
Bayne has opened for Saturday Night Live cast members Will Ferrell, Colin Quinn and Horatio Sanz and a benefit for the WATER theater company in NYC.
Heidi Hickman of my www.mypersonalsalon.com writes, "'Up and comer' Bayne Gibby brought down the house with a set of comic songs that is right up there with anything Adam Sandler has done... I am sure you'll be seeing her everywhere soon!"
Most recently, Bayne appeared on COMEDY CENTRAL PRESENTS "Out on the Edge", an hour long special, hosted by Alan Cumming which premiered Feb 2, 2004.
NEW!! Her SECOND CD, "Live at the Cutting Room" is also available on CDBaby!

Bayne Gibby Is a Riot!
author: KenI saw her first on Comedy Central's Out on the Edge, and was looking for more of her stuff, and was not disappointed. She opens the CD with her song 2001 basically hoping this is the year she gets some serious ass... thanks to Bayne, I blew coffee all over my table cloth! I'm just glad I stopped drinking before she sang Hot Guy with Tourettes. The CD is recorded live, and she has great energy and connects with her audience extremely well from beginning to end. She has a great voice -- my ONLY negative is the simplicity of her guitar work -- don't get me wrong, it fits, but I'd really like to see her bring in accompanyment and maybe try a studio session... just a thought.
SMARTER & FUNNIER THAN GEORGE W. BUSH!
author: MikeBut then, an iguana is smarter than George. Sorry for the politics, but this is an election year. As for this Bayne Gibby CD ... No pithy, witty comment I make here could sum up the humor and sheer brilliance of Bayne Gibby. Buy this album (and her live album)! You won't regret it.
Bayne Gibby in FULL EFFECT
author: ChrisThis CD is all about entertainment. Bayne puts a smile on everyone's face who I play it for. If you like bands like Barenaked Ladies, Cowboy Mouth, or Matt Nathanson you will really enjoy this CD!
Great comedy album!
author: JackThis CD is hilarious! What it lacks in musicality, it more than makes up for in laughs. "Drunk Dialing" is classic.
