Bobby is an excellent veteran entertainer who plays to the audience. He specializes in contemporary blues and classic R&B soul music. He sings and plays lead guitar and his music makes you want to get up and dance.
Bobby's career began in a small town called Athens, Texas,(the black-eyed pea capitol) not far from the Dallas, Texas area. His Texas blues influence is heard in his soulful guitar playing. During his early musical career Bobby played in many house bands and worked as a sideman behind many Blues and R & B artists such as: Barbara Lynn, Jimmy Reed, ZZ Hill, Johnny Taylor, Lavelle White, Bobby & James Purify, Lou Rawls, Buddy Ace and Little Esther Phillips.
He's decided that he should help to "Keep The Blues Alive!" Bobby comments, "Blues and R&B is American born music like country music and we must do all we can to keep it going." With the passing of blues entertainers such as John Lee Hooker, Albert Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughan and Johnny Taylor the flame must continue.
His recent debut CD, "I'm Dialin' 911" is a a mixture of blues and classic soul music. They are all original songs written by Beautiful Bobby and is a must for music fans searching for a new artist.
He appears frequently with his band in the Orlando,Fl area and has a dedicated fan base. His live performances is gaining him a reputation of being the "real deal" entertainer. Living Blues Magazine review, "a mix of cheating songs like We Don't Tell Motel and the title track, with added interest from Blackmon's Texas -bred guitar work"
Blues Bytes Review, "This CD is a labor of love....all songs are original...arrangements are top notch with good back up singing.. this release is a gem." The Blewzzman Live Performance Review - Live at The Bamboo Room -"BEAUTIFUL BOBBY BLACKMON can play the blues along side any of the best I have seen. The show was tremendous!" Blues Revue Magazine, "the grooves slink along with with unforced funkiness.."Holdin On To Sweet Memories" and Bobby's testifying on "Tryin To Forget About Yesterday" stand out."
He participated in the Pro-Jam nights on the Legendary Blues Cruise in Feb 2003 which included entertainers such as Bernard Allison,Lil Ed, Lonnie & Wayne Brooks, Koko Taylor, Curtis Selgado, Kelly Hunt, and Taj Mahal. He was one of the performers along with Duke Robilliard at the Cape Fear Blues Festival in Wilmington,NC on July 2003 and was the only entertainer to receive standing ovations after his performance. He was the headliner band on the Main Squeeze Citrus Blues Festival, February 28, 2004 in Ft. Pierce, Fl...also on the show were Albert Castiglia, Kenny Neal and Debbie Coleman.
November 2004-Bobby was one of the main headline acts on his first major blues show in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. The Riverwalk Blues Festival had acts like Buddy Guy, Ronnie Brooks, Kenny Neal, Billy Branch, Marcia Ball, Jimmy Thackery, Anthony Gomes, EC Scott, Toni Lynn Washington, James Cotton, etc. www.riverwalkbluesfestival.com Reviews are saying that he had one of the best shows that weekend.
Also check out his new 2005 CD release, "Travelin'Home" at www.cdbaby.com/bbb2. It contains 10 originals and will satisfy the regular blues fans as well as the blues fans who like their blues on the funkier side. The session players are the members from his current working band so the sound is "live".

author: T-manA great work of art from a fabulous showman and bluesman! Central Florida is certainly lucky to have such a rich treasure as Bobby- "keeping them blues alive". author: Joe SorbelloI saw Bobby and the B3 blues band at the House of Blues in Downtown Disney on my honeymoon in August 2003. It was one of the most intimate and enjoyable performances I have witnessed. Bobby is very talented, and a pleasure to listen to. This CD captures the feel of that show, and I would reccommend it to anyone. P.S.- Hey Bobby, I'm still waiting for you to play New York!!!
Original and Best
author: Dominic BaxterNever purchased a Blues CD before, but after seeing Bobby in Mount Dora in June I had to buy. This is the most catchy and best CD I have brought this year. I am wearing it out. My favorite track - Trying to forget about yesterday. Keep it going Bobby

911 is the Real Deal Blues
author: Jim BerryBBB found a way to combine traditional Blues with the cutting edge to create a must have CD. BBB's crisp guitar is the perfect match for his rich, soulful voice and the result is a CD of songs that you will love.
i can't quit patting my feet
author: lucky jenkinsthe CD is great. Bobby Blackmon is the best i've seen in a long time. when you listen to him you can't help but get that soul feeling, you've just got to move. recommend the CD to everyone
Don't Waste Your Time ON ANYBODY ELSE!!!!
author: Alan FrashierBobby fills a musical void left by many of the other greats no longer with us. They'd all be proud to hear him carrying the torch. Bobby's talent is subtle yet hard-hitting. You can't help but listen to this CD and not be blown away by both his song-writing ability and his musical talent. His blues guitar playing is woven into his lyrics so effectively you sometimes forget that they're not one and the same. Whether you're new to the blues or a seasoned veteran BUY THIS CD you won't be disappointed.
Bobby and the band ROCK!
author: Ann LeitgebI was never really into blues until Bobby and company came along. This CD is great - for the novice or the die-hard. I highly recommend it to anyone into blues specifically or anyone simply interested in good music. I feel lucky he/they play in my town often so I can hear them whenever I want!
This is the real thing baby...
author: Paul W. TullThis smoking CD is the real thing. Beautiful Bobby Blackmon and the B3 Blues Band are hot. If you get a chance to catch them live or Bobby doing a solo gig...get there. You do not get a chance to catch a bluesman like this everyday. Bobby's travels from east Texas to central Florida (and all over) have crafted him into the total package. Get yourself a little of this, it's like mama's home cookin', it'll make you want to come back for more! Come on ya'll Dial 911....
A great blues CD mixed with soul and humor
author: Tom gloverIf you believe that the blues can be fun, then Mr. Blackmon's music is guaranteed to make you smile. The first time I heard this CD, I had to get my guitar out and play along! Then as I listened to the words, I realized that Mr. Blackmon has a great sense of humor also. There is a mix of sounds here from BB King to Lou Rawls, but it's a great mix that is truly original. Beautiful Bobby B ;the B stands for Blues!
Fantastic CD! Bobby is the greatest!
author: Steve and Dana RoccaThis CD brings out all of Bobby's moods and is one of the greatest blues CDs ever. This is what Beatiful Bobby sounds like in person and it just doesn't get any better!
Soul Blues with heart and humour
author: Pete Sargeant - Blues Matters! magazineOn this record, Bobby chooses to explore the sly, mellow and funky side of his wide range of Blues styles. Though he touches on lost romance, illicit affairs and general heartbreak, his streak of optimisim and self-depracating humour shine through. And just check the snappy guitar runs that pepper this set. Little Milton - watch out !
Outstanding ballards, honest blues and real showmanship.
author: P SowersIf you like catchy ballards thsi is the right spot. Songs like "Trying to forget about yesterday" and Holding On to sweet memories" will stay in your mind. Just good blues with both upbeat and memorable tunes.
