notes
Australian native Bronwyn Edwards Cryer sings with passion about her home country ("The Red Piano"), as well as her adopted home in Seattle ("Cup of Joe"), her obsession with creatures of the sea ("Leviathan" and "Swimming With Dolphins"), and the loves of her life ("She Loves the Rain," "Gracie" and "Raging River"). A "Boogie Mama" (recorded live at her recent "Red Piano" Concert in Seattle), she also admits to being a chocoholic ("A Woman Can't Get Enough Chocolate") and dreams of having a pet jaguar ("Belize"). "She Loves the Rain" is her second CD following "Late Bloomer" (2004) and also features a unique cover version of the Paul McCartney/John Lennon song "Blackbird." A dedicated mom, soccer coach, teacher, business owner and all-around Renaissance woman, Cryer lives in Seattle with her husband Randy. In this CD she recorded all vocals, and plays most of the instruments, with a little help from bassist Gary Sparling and percussionist extraordinaire "JC" Johnny Conga.
"Bronwyn Edwards Cryer... seems to have a knack for quickly capturing the soul of her listener. I personally was inspired by her incredible ability to span a wide range of musical styles ranging from jazz, big band, and blues, to straight out rock. And frankly, some of her piano riffs are simply jaw dropping." Rob Goodwin, mididrumfiles.com
