notes

"YOU'LL BARELY REGRET THIS: 1996-2006" is a chronicling of the music of BENCH GRINDER from there humble, garage days through the blossoming career of one of Seattle's premier rock bands.

You may find some of the selections on this record are of lower fidelity than you have come to expect from BENCH GRINDER. We intentionally included these cuts to help illustrate how much the band has evolved and progressed in it's 10 year history.

The first 5 tracks on this record were from a whirlwind 13 hr recording session @ Orbit Audio during the summer of 2006. These songs best exhibit the current state of the band harnessing a decade of Pop Rock mastery. Scattered throughout the rest of the album is songs from various points in the bands tumultuous career.

Listening through this anthology is akin to sitting down with an album of the band's naked baby photos. Each song walks you through a moment in Bench Grinder history: you can hear the band's influences at that specific time, feel the band mature and even laugh at some of the akward moments every young artist has.

The heart of BG has been constant but many talented artists have joined in the creative process. Here's a complete list of contributors on this record:
