This is the 2006 Album from the British Band The Blind Poets. Mostly the brainchild of Jim Rowbotham along with his writing partner Gary Keeble, "Into Tomorrow" was written and recorded last year at Jim's very own Studio-Rectory Records Studios, in Little Glemham, Suffolk.
The idea for this album was to show off the different sides of the Blind Poets sound. From the Rocky opener "Envy" to the blissed out Title track the Album is full of many different moods and textures. Harmonies are used extensively throughout the album, for instance on the track "Cross to Bear" there is an Accapella section which was sung by Jim, and Guitarists Jon Lowe and Graham Welham four times each-that makes 12 vocal parts!!!
However, this does not outshine some great instumental work on the album. Strings on "Other side of the Coin" and "Resurrection Days" feature heavily as well as Hammond Organ on "Baptism of Fire" and "Take my Byrden Home", alongside the Electric and Acoustic Guitars. Please feel free to play some of the song extracts to see what i mean!!

Great Album from versatile British Band
author: Sue BishopInto Tomorrow is on first listen full of hooks and great Songs with meaningful lyrics. With repeated listens however, all the little clever parts of the Song's arrangements mysteriously appear and this enhances the tracks. Without giving the game i like the "ending" of "Resurrection Days" the best, with close runners up being the Orchestral "Other Side of the Coin" and the Pop-influenced "Unknown Waters". Though i can find something in every song on the album to enjoy. Great Stuff!!
A great Album that delivers in more ways than one.
author: Timothy Harry"Into Tomorrow", by the Blind Poets is full of very clever arrangements, great performances, and most importantly good songs with catchy hooks. Highlights include the seductive "Cross to Bear" the fast paced Rock-influenced "Devil on my Shoulder" and the opening track "Envy", which has a great guitar solo, and is filled with lots of dynamics and textures. Great consistent stuff. Highly recomended!!!
