Very Very good CD. I have an emotional bond to it. Thank all of you. God Bless you Bernie!!

  • This CD is Great! For obvious (just listen!) and personal reasons.

I was lucky enough to be in attendance on the Saturday night when this CD was recorded. The late, great Floyd Phillips was my boyfriend, and the love of my life. It was also the last time I saw my darling Floyd play his music. So you see, it was such a special event (i.e. a benefit for the 9-11 victims and families) but also special for personal reasons. I know I am not to speak about the artist in general, but in this case I thought maybe you'd make an exception. Not only were Floyd and his band awesome, as always, but so was every other cut on this CD. Thank you so much for letting me speak. God bless.

  • The Sound of America
    author: Rob Harvan

No, it's not "just another 9-11 Tribute". The phrase "just another" cannot be used about that horrific event any more than Dachau was "just another concentration camp" when compared to Auschwitz-Birkenau. Instead, what better way to honor the fallen (and to help their families) than by performing songs from those two most American of musical genres: Blues and Classic Rock! The bands are uniformally excellent, the material even more so! Add to your collection, right next to 'America: A Tribute to Heros' and 'The Concert for New York City'. In fact, this is perhaps more heart-felt than those as the performers are Jersey born and bred and, in many cases, were directly involved or affected by the events.

  • Captures the Heart & Soul!

This album captures the heart and soul of the Jersey live music sceen. Great job by Orphan Annie's staff & BluesKid productions.Especialy liked the verson "Beast of Burden" by "Billy Hector" and the Rock-n-Roll Hall of Famer "Bernie Worrell & the Woo Warriors" with his own original song "Biological Speculation".Great live album!Moving from the begining to end!You will not be disapointed! When is volume two comming out?.........................

I really enjoyed this CD. The sound quality is just excellent without a lot of the "noise" you get on most live CDs. It captures the energy of a live show but the sound quality is on par with a studio recording. There's also a little somthing here for just about everyone: hard driving rock on "Open invitation", the straight blues of "Mojo", and the lighter melodic tones of "Room of my Own" One of the better compilation CDs I've found. I would strongly recommend this CD to just about anyone.

  • Great CD! Especially enjoyed the Alice Project songs.

Picked this CD up because I liked the cover art. Sometimes this works out and sometimes it doesn't. Got lucky with this one. I especially liked the two songs by the Alice Project as well as the cover of Moon Dance. Nice to know there's still some great live musice coming out of Jersey!

  • AWSOME! Need i say more?
    author: John Lombardo

I attended the two day benefit at Orphan Annies and how they wittled this down to just 13 songs I don't know. It was two days of great live music. Let Me Love you, Superstition, Haunted House, Love Struck, and Mojo are all exceptional. Out of 13 tracks there is not one that I do not enjoy. How many CD's can you say that about? Thank you to Orphan Annies and all the great musicians who were part of the benefit. You've created a wonderful CD for a great cause!

  • What a disc! Great sound quality. Live or memorex baby?
    author: Joe

This CD has a lot of heart to it; great covers with some great originals mixed in. The cover of Santana's Open Invitation by Yasgur's Farm is smokin' with great vocals and guitar work. This CD oozes soul from the first cut to the last. While basically rock and blues, it really offers a little something for everyone.
