Making Airplanes Instruments
WAVRE, BELGIUM (9/12/07) -- You need to strap yourself in. This is no ordinary flight. This flight will soar above and beyond the limits of known musical genres. Our pilot for this trip is none other than Belgium's remarkable composer - Bruno Misonne. Bruno is the creator of an entirely new genre of music based on Aviation. Misonne transcends the limitations of Orchestra and composition with the release of his new CD, Aviation Music. There is no “ceiling” in this flight.
It’s no irony that Bruno Misonne calls the city of Wavre home. It's only ten miles from a large airport where he “parks” his instruments. You See, Bruno Misonne has made the airplane a new instrument in Aviation Music. The vocals are sound bites of air traffic control communications, blended seamlessly with synthesizers and computer sound banks, to take the listener on a journey.
Indeed, just listening to any of the tracks on his first release will take you soaring into the air, just close your eyes, Bruno will be at the controls - and he is masterful at it. He composes at night when everything is quiet - except his mind. Misonne’s mind is always at work composing, or preparing to compose. The true gift is that his best work is produced while working on other tasks. “… I can walk around the garden while I'm building a full imaginary orchestra in my head,” Says Bruno. In fact, one of the tracks on his latest release, “Early Morning Landing at Heathrow” was created while he was working in his garden.
Bruno has chosen the perfect instrument for his new genre. The airplane is the best way to go global after all. The Best music ever

author: David MaxwellIf you are a fan of relaxing and enchanting instrumental music in the genres of Vangelis and Tangerine Dream or similar - this music is highly recommended. You DO NOT have to be an aviation fan to enjoy this, but a fan of very good instrumental music. Bruno in his own taste does something which I really enjoyed - provided a unique taste of local dialect into some of his songs such as 'Johannesburg Tower Party' as well as the 'chants' in 'A380 Deep Freeze' making this music extremely satisfying. Satisfying so much that our company has contacted to have Mr. Misonne to compose for us in our documentaries in the future. It is rare to find promising talent which can passionately put this into music, and I have great respect to those who can successfully. This music is very enjoyable to listen to as I personally had to listen to several songs dozens of times because they were so mind relaxing. For those of you who love music, I believe everyone does this in the privacy of their own peaceful element. author: Chris BishopBruno is without doubt a musical perfectionist, I own this album and even though I don’t share Bruno’s love for aviation, it soon becomes irrelevant once you start to listen. The first thing that grabs your attention is the crated use of various sounds – yes we have sounds of aircraft from different periods of time, but these compositions are so much more … there’s a perfect blend of Electronica and near classical film score type arrangements that are perfectly harmonized together … for example “Aerobatics” really feels like you’re watching a fabulous air show … there’s a video to this score too that’s well worth checking out. “Airbus A-380 Deep Freeze Testing” is a superbly creative track, and one of my favourites on this beautifully presented CD, which I feel in years to come, will be a collectors item for its concept and originality … I highly recommend this album for its ingenious concept and superb production values … congratulations Bruno Misonne, I look forward to your second album!
