notes

Adult contemporary singer/songwriter and former NY teacher Bud Buckley has emptied his schoolbag into a new CD, Feel My Love. If Bob Dylan ever managed to swallow Paul Simon and Jose Feliciano and their guitars, it would sound like Bud. Now living in Florida he sings of torture by nuns, the anguish of young and unyoung girls he still counsels, the pain of good-byes, the sweetness of homecomings and living with hurricanes. His acoustic guitar and smooth vocals contrast with sometimes searing, sometimes waw-wawing Telecaster lines. His pop style is at times folk/rock or traditional ballad. Whether he's drawing a laugh or a tear, he's a good listen.

  • Warm, honest original songs of the heart.

Here's a CD that ushers in the warmth and honesty of original songwriting and leaves you feeling as if you are attending the intimacy of a live performance in a Cafe'. Bud Buckley is refreshing.

  • This Bud's for you...

The first time I heard "Jacob's Hurricane", I got all excited, as I thought I'd discovered some lost Dylan song. Feel My Love is great. It has monkeys on the cover. Sort of gives you the feeling that Mr Buckley is someone you'd definately want to go catch live. He could just be there by himself with an accoustic guitar and still sound good. He's got a lyrical gift for looking at things in a different light. I guess the techincal term is insight. Also makes good use of his vocals and phrasing.

  • You've got something special in your hands.
author: Golfwidow's Ministry of Silly Walks

I considered writing a long-winded, single-minded dissertation about why everyone needs to get Feel My Love by Bud Buckley, but it's a little difficult to get your long-winded on about something you can't really describe. Suffice it to say that, when I picture anyone I know personally listening to this CD, I see each of them finding something different that they love about it. My personal favorite is the lyrics, closely followed by beats that make you get your hippy chair-dancing on. As for Bud's voice, it's enough like Dylan to make you do a double-take, but unique enough for you to recognize that you've got something special in your hands. So f*** it. Just get your copy and find out what you love about it.

I've had this cd playing in my player for weeks now. The music is very pop/rock/folk/blues like and can be appreciated by all music enthusiasts. Bud's a wonderful storyteller/songwriter and a sublime guitarist.

  • classic songs

Bud's songs stay in your head after long they are over, leaving catchy tunes and an indelible impression. Very enjoyable variety of fun rockers and touching ballads with thoughtful lyrics. A touch of 70's meets present day with some hints of Jakob Dylan and Bare Naked Ladies. And what an album cover!

Bud Buckley truly displays his talent for wrting and creating with his new cd. I've never heard more unique and enjoyable lyrics. Some are humorus, some are heart filled, while other songs have a bit of both elements plus more. With all that's on the radio today, its refreshing to hear something original and pleasant. Nice job!

I think this CD is so awesome. A lot of people don't write thier own music, and if they do, it's horrible. Bud Buckley, did this on his own. I think it's GREAT! I love every song. I play it at work, on my alarm clock and even in my car. Everyone I've played it to loves it. It sounds so real. It sounds like it came from his heart. He's made a great change in my life, and now his music does, too. Good job, Mr. B!!

  • There's a little bit of everything inside this cd.

There's a little bit of everything inside this CD. From the infectious foot tapping and great humor of Sister Mary Confusing, the upbeat title track,Feel My Love, and the beautiful ballad(a personal favorite)Make It Easy...you can hear alot of the famous greats such as Bob and Jakob Dylan, and even a little bit of John Mellencamp..Nice addition to your CD collection...buy it!
