A FROGGY CHRISTMAS STORY!!
(Froggy is the name of four popular radio stations that service 400,000+ listeners in western Pennslyvania, eastern Ohio and west Virginia)
Once upon a time Froggy radio starting playing songs from country artists native to the tri-state area.
Inspired by the national success of stars like The Poverty Neck Hillbilles and The Corbin Hanner Band, Froggy created
Hometown Country, an ongoing program dedicated to exposing the original work of local musicians.
Froggy then added the "12 Bands Of Christmas" program during the holiday season giving local musicians the chance to perform live on air in the Froggy studios.
Among the "12 Bands of Christmas" performing on Froggy that first year was the duo of Tom Rooney and Al Snyder.
They developed and concept of a holiday CD featuring local artists, with proceeds benefiting local charity. This CD is a result of their vision and the efforts of many others who've contributed their time and talent.
Thank you to the artists and Mountaineer Racetrack & Gaming Resort and the 400,000 Froggy listeners who made this possible.
A portion of the proceeds benifits Space is Special, inspiring special needs students to reach for the stars.
