Where the Blues Lives

by 145th Street

Killer, urban Blues featuring raw expressive vocals, exceptional harmonica, blazing guitar, and wailing saxophone. The rhythm section is spirited and tight. 145th Street excels at keeping The Blues personal, current and vital. Whether they are playing a hard driving shuffle, getting intimate with a steamy slow blues, or funkin’ it up, they do it with flair, taste and excitement.

ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
What started out as an acoustic Blues duo 10 years ago, has flourished into a five piece, urban electric Blues band. Influenced by older and newer Blues musicians, 145th Street has developed its own unmistakeable feeling for and musical expression of the Blues. On top of a solid, spirited rhythm section, 145th Street lays down its passionate vocals and unique blending of harp/sax/guitar lines and interplay. Very definitely a signature sound!

Of the ten powerful tunes on the CD, nine of them are exciting originals. The remaining cover is completely arranged to make it sound like a new tune. And every tune has a story. May you have a very enjoyable listening experience!
