Album Notes

1aChord. There's only 1 way to describe these young ladies form the heart of the Motor City, and that is soulful. The day these ladies meet they knew that they would embark on an everlasting relationship.
1aChord is a Gospel singing Duo which consists of Nichelle"Nikki" Tillman and Teyonee Bell. These young ladies had their start singing in the Gospel choir of the True Faith Baptist Church at the early age of 5, under the direct leadership of some of the greatest musicians the city had to offer. Both ladies ventured into Gospel plays.
Teyonee gets her start with the play "What's Going on", and has performed on such albulms as God's Little Soldier.Teyonee also attended Mattie Moss Clark Conservatory under the teachings of Dorinda Clark and Karen Clark Sheard. She just recently had the privilege of becoming1 of the top finalists for the Channel 4" Give Me The Mike" contest.
Both ladies sang with the Oscar Hayes/Abundant Life Fellowship Chorale,Nikki was featured on all albulms as 1 of the soloist. After feeling the need to move on, the Gospel duo decided to join Michael Mindingall and the Communion Chorale. That encounter would short be lived as well, for God defintely had more in store!!!
Nikki Tillman gets her start professionly in the theater as well. She has toured with such plays as God's Trombone at the age of 15. She continued in theater touring with "God Dont Like Ugly",Mamma I Wanna Sing", and "The DEvil Made Me Do It". She has worked with such Gospel srtists as Vanessa Bell Armstrong,Dottie Peoples, and Daniel Winans. Nikki rounded out her training in other areas, but always keeping God 1st. She was accepted into the Interlochen Performing Arts Schools at the age of 15 on a scholarship, where she majored in performing arts, dance, voice, and drama.
1aChord brings you their #1 debut single"What a Friend". This song is meant to uplift you, bless you, and to reach the hearts of a new generation with an old Hymn of the Church. This song was written by the conquring duo themselves.

We leave you with this verse, which is our personal testimony-Psalms 108:1-4, Our hearts are steadfast, oh God;We will sing and make music with all our souls.Awake, harp, and lyre!! We will awaken the dawn. We will Praise you, o Lord, amoung the nations; We will sing of you amoung the peoples. For great is your Love, Higher than the heavens; your Faith reaches to the Skies. 1aChord.

I liked the sound of this song. It had a hip beat, good singing and would help me to refocus in bad situations to know that as young man, I have a friend in Jesus when the peer pressure of life becomes too much to handle.
