Album Notes

not surprisingly, 1-manband is about me singing/playing everything at once. my debut album is called "strange atmosphere". it is a record about the things that have affected me in life for one reason or another. listen out for the reference to badly drawn Boy's song "the shining" in martha's house! there are also a few covers of songs i've always fancied singing. turn it up loud to get the full effect!

music is hard-wired into me. the piano was my first love, and i have been playing it from virtually the day i could sit up on the piano stool. some of these songs were written in my teens, and have been rattling around in my head ever since. i've always wanted to record them but it was only when PC technology came along that i was able to do this. i worked as a hotel lounge pianist for some years in my twenties - a pretty soul destroying period which basically shut down my musical appetite. since i quit that job, creative energy has returned, and it was then that the later songs were written.
