ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
We chose this title so that we could include a sticker that, once applied to your mailbox, would cease the delivery of admail. A band sticker that has a purpose… I love it.

The album was going to be called Only the Paranoid Survive until just yesterday when my paranoia got the better of me and found the other title No Junk Mail Please. What were the titles that came before it? Mr. Greenie was an early frontrunner that for a time became the assumed nominee. Robertson’s Dream Orchard had fine merit in the fields of continuity and artistic imagery. Then there was 21 Random Tepees, a humorous embarrassment. Also, see Summertime Will End When It’s Over, The Curtain Draws, Meet the People With Their Dogs and Their Poets Noses, When Biodiversity Is Destroyed So Are the Foundations of Life, I Will Not Buy, and The Golden Rule.

I think by limiting your exposure to advertising you are less likely to fall prey to its devices, and more likely to find your own path, which is apparently what we are all seeking. I think that what is better than recycling is not using in the first place.

“The Golden Rule”

The real golden rule (the ethic of reciprocity) is “treat others as you would like to be treated.”

21 Tandem Repeats just celebrated their third year playing the Super Robertson Supper Show, which happens every Wednesday evening from 7:30 to 8:30 at the Railway Club in Vancouver B.C. Canada. It is a free show and there is performance footage available on the Internet if you care to see. It’s our scene done on our terms, and it keeps us playing.

Solid, Satisfying Effort by 21TD
This album really satisfies, capturing as much as possible the laid-back, quirky wit of a live show. It should come with a pint of lager.
