\"Divine Spirits, Holy Smoke\" the latest CD by 25 Smokin\' Figurados features a range of musical styles not seen in a single, coherent American release in decades. The ten-song package covers such musical terrain as heavy rock, light gospel, new wave country, classic rock to something that can only be described as \"Wiggy.\"

After playing in a number of varied bands in the \'90s, songwriting veterans Timothy Abbott and Gregg Kirk grew tired of writing in a single style in a typical band setting and instead opted to open up their songwriting catalog and apply it within a loose-knit group of musicians known as 25 Smokin\' Figurados.

The result is a collection of songs that deftly moves through seemingly disjointed styles without the listener feeling so much as a bump in the road.
