The Two Feet Pete Band is a rockin little blues trio from the South Jersey/Philadelphia area.
The band includes Steve "Two Feet Pete" Constantino on guitars/harmonica/lap steel and vocals. Steve is a veteran blues player and has several tours of Ireland and Denmark under his belt. "Playing American Blues in Europe is totally different from playing in the states. The audiences are so attentive and knowledgable. I really cherish every opportunity to play over there."
John French plays upright and electric bass. Bringing an eclectic jazz and country background to the table, John's influences go back to his early teens when he was the first kid on the block to buy Weather Report and Tom Scott albums, while working at a country radio station. "Blues jazz and country are all truly American forms of music, each features instrumental improvisation and technical skill which means nothing if you can't put your heart and soul into your playing."
Ed Zubritsky's drumming anchors the rhythm section. Ed is a blues and country stalwart from several area bands, taking lessons from each situation in preparation for Two Feet Pete. "I've never played in a band where the members were so like minded as far as direction, format, attitude and work ethic. And I think this CD shows the very best of all of our experiences and influences."
"Baby Steps" is Two Feet Pete's first CD release. The music rocks with the guitar boogie of "I'm Tired" and "Shorty's Blues", swings with the traditional upright and harmonica sounds of "One Way Street" and "She Keeps Me Guessing", and shows a country blues edge with the lap steel and narrative style of "99 Bottles of Beer". "Baby Steps" is a suprising and enjoyable listen.
