Born the fifth child of nine in a very musical family, I attended Wichita State University in 1987 and 1988 to study music theory and saxophone. I produce my own unique style of future jazz, acid jazz, groove jazz and downtempo, influenced by the likes of great artists such as Grover Washington Jr., Bob James, David Sanborn, Ronnie Laws, Barry White, Tower of Power.and B B King.I have now turn my focus on composing music. Composing music gives me a outlet to express my feeling and pursue my dream in the music business. My approach to composing a new song is spontaneous with a wide range of different musical influences. 2 GOOD TO GO represents a rebirth of many different Style and combination of rhythm and a groovie bass feeling with a very energetic earthy funky beat add some saxophone and keyboard and you have a soulful jazz sound.
I would like to thank all of the radio station and music director who supported me and a special thank to all of my fan who supported me and all of the blessing from the almighty.
Thank you Chester A Thomas

Chester A. Thomas is one compelling, prolific composer! 2 Good To Go is his musical brainchild with nearly twenty releases to date, two this year alone : G.P.S. along with SKY JAM are both 2011 releases through his soulful 2 Good To Go project. According to the artist and label owner, “My approach to composing a new song is spontaneous with a wide range of different musical influences.” There is indeed an organic vibe to each 2GTG release, all encompassing a certain groove and earthiness as well as a cool, low-end signature style. G.P.S. stands for Guitar Piano Saxophone as all of these engaging instruments flow elegantly together to create this latest collection of tasty songs that offer a fusion of musical flavors. Our favorite tracks include the jazzy “Love on Tampa Bay,” the sultry “After the Storm,” and the chilled “Chill Out.” Compelling, vibrant “future jazz” from a very creative contributor!
