ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
From their humble beginnings in the coffee shops of Sacramento, the guys in 2Me are building a name for themselves as a group who can charm a candlelit audience just as easily as they can rock a bar full of weekend drinkers.

On a late night in the fall of 2003, Christopher got his friend Reid drunk enough to share a cigarette and start a band with him. Two weeks later he introduced Reid to Nathan, and an hour later the three of them were taking the stage at a coffee shop for what would be the first 2Me show ever. Less than a month later, Conan, an old friend of Nathan’s, came to a show with his bass in hand and said he wanted to play with them. The band 2Me had officially arrived.

They’ve since recorded two full length albums (5 brown 1 green, and Schizophrenic Love Songs), and entertained every kind of audience imaginable, from drunks at dive bars, to grandmothers and granddaughters dancing side by side in shopping malls.

Having already logged more than 40,000 miles on their automobiles in California and Nevada alone, 2Me embarked on their first national tour in June 2006: 20 shows in 30 days from California to NYC and back. The dudes are planning a northwest mini-tour before heading back into the studio in the winter to record the third album.

Christopher’s whispery voice has roused comparisons to James Taylor, Dave Matthews, and Jack Johnson, while the band’s penchant for slide guitar, psychedelic jams, kazoo solos, and earthy backbeats have stirred up comparisons to The Grateful Dead, Phish, The Allman Brothers Band, and The String Cheese Incident. Christopher’s lyrics have a tendency to change on stage periodically, making the live show unique every time, but they always manage to conjure up thoughts of childhood innocence, daydreams, companionship, whiskey, Disney movies, pirate ships, alley cats, and unrequited love.

Great CD...good mix of up tempo and ballads. Great vocals from Chris and Dan. "Chicago" is definitely a favorite, along with "Get Some." Excellent CD for background music at a party or a road trip!

Schizophrenic Love Songs
When the drummer, Reid, was growing up, I was like a "2nd Mom" and I'm very proud of him and this band. I love this album, especially "Get Some" and I would highly recommend it!! And I'm not saying this because I'm partial....they do an awesome job!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for making this CD, guys!!

Amazing Music
I stumbled into the Fox & Goose one night over 3 years ago to discover 2ME. I have just now been re-introduced to the band with Schizophrenic Love Songs. What an amazing album with so much soul! Can't wait to see them play again!

Calming
The music is very soft, and I listen to it before I go to bed. The last song has a hidden track, which is amazing. The last song itself helps me relax after a tiring workweek.

This is the band...
... The band that we somehow lost after the 70's. A band that is more into their music than their image. So much that their music IS their image.

This is the kind of record that just keeps getting better the more that you listen to it. Typically, repetitive listening exposes minor flaws or unmasks the "gimmick" that songs sometime hook you with at first. But here, with each listen you are brought closer and closer to the fire that stokes beneath the brilliance and sincerity that is 2me. I hope that more and more people get to hear their music and experience it firsthand.
