the artist 2-Shades is looking to make his album debut on the underground circuit with, "Mic Checks" sometime in the 2nd quarter. Coming up as Dj chemical 7's protege seems to be having a great deal of success already street wise with numerous calls and questions asked about when 2-Shades will be seen and heard. Hooking up with C7 in the fall of 2004, both have been concentrating their time to the studio for putting a death grip on the game through the streets of Jersey. the streets is going to be flooded with new material that'll wipe out any incoming competition" Shades was quoted as saying. Details surrounding the format and style of 2-Shades are still under wraps by C7 but if 2-Shades is within the right camp under C7's wing, the streets are sure to get their fair share of talented wordplay. "Right now I'm still learning the ropes when it comes to when and how to drop my very first album, but with the potential I posess, and plenty of support from fans I have gained through word-of-mouth, I'm confident I can add a different kind of style to the ever so changing rap world". Look out for 2-Shades to release his tribute single, "21 Gun Salute" featuring Apollo Speed in the coming weeks. Shades said, "This song was made for a close friend of mine as a send off to his being called upon to help fight the war overseas.
