Album Notes

"I highly recommend this CD, not only for the quality of music, but for its intent to foster
communication between parent and children, on making wise and healthy choices".
Herbie Hancock

You're probably wondering, "what is the sound that attracted Herbie Hancock's attention,
who Are these guys, and "why would this CD foster communication between parent and children".

To answer your first question, here is our favorite description from one of our fans,
"It's like meeting John Coltrane, Weather Report and the Funk Brothers on another planet."

WOW ! ....... don't you just love that.

Tales & Destinations is both electric and eclectic. This is my expression of music of everyone
from, James Brown and Jimi Hendrix, to the Beatles, Miles, Weather Report and everyone
in between.

Listening to Tales & Destinations is like going on an adventure to an unknown dimension.
Each song takes you through a new journey of sound. Go to your favorite spot for listening, put on
your snuggle clothes, close your eyes, and enjoy this listening experience that allows your own
creativity to explode.

35 Days in May is the music of Jeff Kaye. The other band members are the finest musicians
in our area and are members of the AEIC music staff.

This takes us to answering the next question.

AEIC is a non profit organization that works with our youth to stop drug abuse and violence.
All of our programs are designed to bring sensitive issues, like drug abuse, to the fore front and
have an honest open discussion. Tales & Destinations is AEIC's third CD. The music on the first
two CD's were written and performed by high school students in our program. You should visit
our web at www.aeconcert.org for more about our programs.

So how close are we to describing the sound of 35 Days in May? Glad you asked !

Like watching a great movie, listening to this CD is more than just entertainment, it's an experience. The fusion of multiple genres with raw creativity is refreshing, and for a great cause to boot. I look forward to future releases to enjoy, as well as challenge my own expectations of quality artistic expression.

It doesn't surprise me that after so many years playing and teaching jazz, Jeff would reveal such moving compositions. Very true to the spirit of AEIC's mission. This is great music played by great musicians. Gets better every time I listen to it!
