3 Alarm is an assemblage of Six of the Hottest Emcees on the DFW(The 3rd Coast) Hip Hop Scene to date. DJ Spinn( Production), Tum Kat, T-Wrex, Top Notch, D1V1NE, & Neeky Devero, are all Veterans of the “ Gold School “era, who cut their teeth on the Hip Hop sound of the 80’s & 90’s. In the mid 90’s when the Southwest was virtually devoid of an underground scene, they were building Crews such as (Aggtown aka Arlington,TX) as the legendary Phathead Squad while Blazin’ Stages & giving birth to a signature sound. With over 50 years of collective experience on the Mic, this super group serves up a healthy helping of southern fried beats and lyrics that are, as we say in the Texas, “hot as fish-grease!” 3 Alarm shares more than just a love for Music. They are a family of artists who also share a decade of history with one another. Mutual friendships became backpacking Mega-crews (The Mecca 817, Phathead Squad), which spawned the careers of other subgroups & solo artists. DJ/Producer/MC DJ Spinn & Tum Kat formed OSB-Official Southern Brothers & took it one step beyond with their soulful yet hypnotic style. T-Wrex, who began his career as a DJ was one of the first to join the Ph Squad in 1996 & has been smashin’ MC’s ever since with country colloquialisms that have made him an “Aggtown” legend in his own right. Neeky Devero, who initially went by Yoghi, formed a trio of “femcees” called Abstract Nubian Sistahs (aka AB-Nu-B-US). After meeting at a talent show, Neeky Devero & Divine became friends & turned the trio into a duo, making them the first ladies of the Mecca 817 Clique. Last but certainly not least, is Top Notch, the baby brother of the family who was inducted into the Crew when the elders were blown away by his dynamic freestyle delivery & written rhymes. To this day those rhymes are nothing less than impressive. 3 Alarm is scorching the ears of North Texas listeners with songs such as “Too Hott,” which is the first single & video from the long awaited LP, “Smoke Signals.” This soon to be 3rd Coast Classic is a lyrical buffet, smothered in funky, bass laden tracks that hit hard from 1- 14. 3 Alarm is heavily promoting “Smoke Signals” via the street, the internet (www.myspace.com/djspinn, blastro.com, dfwhiphop.com) as well as via killer live performances. The Group is also in the lab completing their respective solo endeavors, as well as working on the next 3 Alarm LP.

Yo...Talib Kwali may need to step his game up when he gets this in him. It gave me the same feeling that I had when I heard Lodi Dodi for the first time...The love of Hip Hop is preserved in this CD. Straight up...if you are a Hip Hop Head ...YOU NEED TO COP THIS ONE!
