ABOUT THIS ALBUM

Album Notes
Once upon a time, there were two Stray Dogs called Alex Grayson and Garry Wonfor. They played guitars, they sang beautifully and they wrote lovely songs.
One day, while Alex and Garry were out playing, they met a Zogonian Lizard called Lyndon J Connah. They played Lyndon some songs and he liked them very much.

When the sun had gone down, Lyndon took Alex and Garry to Zog to record their songs in his studio. He said "I've got some songs too and a nice voice. If you let me be in your group, I'll get my friend, The Wizard of Zog, to turn us into superstars."

"Yes, yes!" shouted Alex, "Please tell him to make us pretty also".
"And handsome!" added Garry.
"And rich, with houses made of Bagooney-Pins and everything!" exclaimed Lyndon.
But the silly old Wizard had a very limited command of English and turned them into Three Blind Mice.
And they all lived happily ever after. Well, no they didn't, but stuff it....

OK, so that's only partly true. You see, 3 Blind Mice are a Man Band from London, England. Their influences range from Joni Mitchell and The Beatles to Stephen Sondheim and Björk. Between them, they've fronted their own bands and toured and recorded with a whole host of artists, covering a pretty wide spectrum: Thomas Dolby, Wham!, Swing Out Sister, Go West, Squeeze, Level 42, Tom Robinson, David Sylvian, The Human League, Nik Kershaw, Prefab Sprout, Peter Blegvad, Joe Cocker, Sinead O'Connor, Oleta Adams, Julian Cope, Bananarama, Take That.... the list goes on but that's the boring bit.

Here's the good stuff: Alex Grayson, Garry Wonfor and Lyndon J Connah have been working together on various projects since 1998, when Lyndon produced Alex and Garry's first collaborative album, an acoustic reworking of Simon & Garfunkel songs, which was followed in 2001 by "Unplug the Beatles". As songwriters and performers themselves it was inevitable that they'd take things further. And they have.

Alex, Garry and Lyndon are 3 very diverse individuals but each is a talented singer, musician and songwriter in his own right. Put them together and you have one heck of an awesome band. So come on, be part of the Mouse Revoution!

Great acoustic band
This album features many extraordinairy songs like "Jack and Billy" and "Hellbound Eyes". All songs have a particular, often friendly but specific mood stamp. Acoustic guitars, keyboard and great vocals. Absolutely top stuff. Recommended.

You must buy this album.
What a rarity.Short written story with the background to the song just brings these deep, dark songs to life. I read the stories and stood listen to the cd right thro absorbing the enorminty of emotion and sheer talent that went into this album.amazing.

Power Pop Nursery Rhymes
... the Cat and the Farmer Ain’t coming back Either. It's just the Mice and Farmer’s Wife (Victoria is her name and She is absolutely Priceless) to Entertain You with some Wonderful Power Pop and some very Cool Harmonies that RadioMike just Can’t get Enough of. We’re Still Waiting for that American Tour of the US. We Just Love Mice over Here, Especially the Talented Ones.

Brilliant in every sense....
I can't emphasize enough how much I love this CD... the melodies have the richness of the Beatles... the 3 part harmonies have a blend that fills your heart... the lyrics are fanciful, poetic, and just wonderful... I honestly think it's impossible not to like this trio. I'm glad they exist!

Quality, pure quality! A masterpiece.
You can draw parellels about these guys all you like, but they are are unique! This is definitely THE album to get if you're new to the Mice! It's short and sweet and to the point (no filler)! It consists of eight beautifully crafted tracks The jewel in the crown (due to it's catchy hook) is most likely Jack & Billy, but equally each track is a jem in it's own right! There are lots of different textures, feels, styles and subjects here. It's the only CD which has never left my car CD changer! Every time I listen I feel I've disovered something new, the songwriting is fresh, soothing, enigmatic. The recordings and performances are fantasticly clear and direct - very easy to listen to, and never boring! A must have for any real music fan!
