Two lead singers playing acoustic guitar and keyboards, often augmented by drums, bass and saxophone, amongst others. The sound evokes the spirit of The Beatles and Led Zeppelin and, equally, Joni Mitchell and Steely Dan. Little Richard and Stephen Sondheim also make an appearance.
Great harmonies, a little reminiscent of Crosby Still & Nash; lyrics from strange dark places with bright sunshine bursting through every crack; music from a past, or a future, where bands think not of fashion but of borrowing from everywhere and everyone and creating a magic all their own. Oh, and there's not much rapping in it....
This CD was produced for our 2005 "World Tour of Alaska" and charts the progress of the band from the beginning in 1999 until June 2005. 2 tracks are taken from the forthcoming album "Good Grief" (to be realease in 2006, hopefully!), 3 tracks are from "Before They Were Famous" Vols. 1 & 2. The rest are rarities and oddities compiled especially for you.

This is a quirky musical feast for the ears.
author: Anjella
An emotional rollercoaster of a CD-from overwhelming joy to tears of sadness(and laughter).Toe tapping melodies, jive, country and heart wrenching ballards,it's all here. Some songs will grab you from the get go,while others will grow insidiously inside your brain and you'll find yourself singing them at(possibly)inopportune moments.I loved The Bindley Tree before I'd even heard it.Call Me Beautiful,The Breaking and Your Face Is Not Enough, all wonderful and diverse.
Overall 25 out of 10 for this fantastic, magical album.
