Album Notes

3Cohens: Yuval, Anat & Avishai Cohen

The 3Cohen Siblings, Yuval, Anat and Avishai, have had a very similar musical path. Growing up in Tel-Aviv under the same roof, attending the same day schools and the same music Conservatory in the afternoons, have helped shape their musical taste, approach and ideas.
They Attended the Tel-Aviv School for the Arts, the "Thelma Yalin" high school for the arts and the ´´Jaffa´´ Music conservatory.
The 3Cohens had a classical music background that included some symphonic orchestral playing. But it didn´´t take long before the 3 discovered their life long love to jazz music.
And then there was Berklee College of Music. The World Scholarship Tour awarded the 3 of them scholarships the attend Berklee. The 3 got to expand their musical taste and to develop themselves musically at the College and after graduating.
In November 2002 the 3 formed a sextet and performed in a jazz festival in Poland, playing their original music. That was the beginning of their debut album, "ONE".

I love the pure \"simpatico\" of this sibling trio! I am definitely intrigued and look forward to more available music by the Cohens. What a great SOUND! I discovered \"Braid\" at my local public library and now covet hearing \"One\"!

If you have sampled the tunes here, and like them - then you'll love the CD. It's jazz. It's eclectic. It has several moments of "world music" influence. Very Good.
